John Krasinski Talks Proposing To Emily Blunt

John Krasinski has opened up about his proposal to fiancee Emily Blunt.

“We were here in LA and there were unicorns and oceans and clouds,” John joked with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards. “She said yes!”

While the unicorns may not have actually been part of his proposal, John did confirm he got down on one knee in a low-key setting.

“It was very casual,” John said. “I was nervous and the whole nine yards.”

The actor, who plays Jim on NBC comedy “The Office,” revealed that his ladylove was reduced to tears by his romantic proposal. And so were several other people.

“She did cry after I cried and we cried and then everyone around us was crying,” John explained. “Then, I think people weren’t really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying. But it was great. At the end of the day she said yes which is great. It’s a big part of this whole thing.”

The two, who have been dating since November 2008, haven’t set a wedding date yet, and it appears starting a family could be a ways off too.

“Not soon,” John told Billy, who asked when they planned to have children. “I think we’re going to take our time with that, hopefully.”

In the meantime, John said the couple is just enjoying being betrothed.

“It’s pretty great,” he added.

After 10 days, Toronto film fest set to wrap with ‘The Young Victoria’

After 10 days of movie madness, the credits are set to roll on the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday.

The closing night film is “The Young Victoria” starring Emily Blunt. It’s from Quebec director Jean-Marc Vallee, who helmed 2005’s “C.R.A.Z.Y.” Festival awards are to be handed out during a luncheon ceremony at a downtown hotel. The winner of last year’s audience choice award, “Slumdog Millionaire,” went on to win the Academy Award for best picture.

Over 300 films were screened during the fest, which drew megastars including George Clooney, Matt Damon and Oprah Winfrey.

Taylor Swift, January Jones, Emily Blunt & Friends Keep Fashion Week Fashionable

The tents at Bryant Park are being disassembled, and socialites everywhere are getting a foot rub. New York Fashion Week has come to a close.

This season brought bright colors and bold prints and even brighter, bolder celebrities.

From Lady Gaga performing at the Marc Jacobs afterparty to Mickey Rourke ogling “fat” models, stars—and the swarm of aggressive photographers that followed them—couldn’t be avoided. So, we did what we do best. We mingled with them!

Taylor Swift told us what she thought of the Tommy Hilfiger show, Mad Men’s January Jones explained Jon Hamm’s appeal, and Emily Blunt talked about her hands (you know, the ones with the big rock from John Krasinski). And that’s just the tip of the very swanky iceberg. [Read more…]
