One esteemed critic has dubbed Brit actress Emily Blunt the next formidable female leading lady. Anthony Hopkins has the pleasure of playing opposite Blunt in next year’s The Wolf Man, also starring Benicio Del Toro. The experienced Hopkins was extremely impressed with Blunt’s work, rivaling comparisons to his Silence of the Lambs costar, Academy Award winner Jodie Foster.

Hopkins says Blunt, best known stateside for her scene-stealing role as the first assistant in The Devil Wears Prada, was a dream to work with. “Wonderful,” he raved. “One of the absolute best I’ve worked with. For me, it’s her and Jodie Foster. You just don’t get any better than that.”“I hope she stays the way she is,” Hopkins added, “because she’s absolutely wonderful. She’s so unspoiled. There’s something so natural about her and she doesn’t give a stuff about any of the rubbish.”

Tell us: Rachel McAdams, Katherine Heigl, Amy Adams, Kristen Stewart, and Blunt all appear to be here to stay; are any of the latest wave of leading ladies impressing you?
