John Krasinski has opened up about his proposal to fiancee Emily Blunt.

“We were here in LA and there were unicorns and oceans and clouds,” John joked with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards. “She said yes!”

While the unicorns may not have actually been part of his proposal, John did confirm he got down on one knee in a low-key setting.

“It was very casual,” John said. “I was nervous and the whole nine yards.”

The actor, who plays Jim on NBC comedy “The Office,” revealed that his ladylove was reduced to tears by his romantic proposal. And so were several other people.

“She did cry after I cried and we cried and then everyone around us was crying,” John explained. “Then, I think people weren’t really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying. But it was great. At the end of the day she said yes which is great. It’s a big part of this whole thing.”

The two, who have been dating since November 2008, haven’t set a wedding date yet, and it appears starting a family could be a ways off too.

“Not soon,” John told Billy, who asked when they planned to have children. “I think we’re going to take our time with that, hopefully.”

In the meantime, John said the couple is just enjoying being betrothed.

“It’s pretty great,” he added.
