When celebrities get pulled over, it seems sometimes even traffic officers can get a little star-struck.

In the case of Emily Blunt, as she shared with Jay Leno this week, fame can work in a star’s favor to avoid speeding tickets.

As the Daily Mail reports, “The Devil Wears Prada” actress was pulled over for driving eight miles over the speed limit in Hollywood.

The 26-year-old brunette told Leno that she got let off the hook when the officer took one look at her U.K. driving license and appeared amused: “The guy takes it and says, ‘What is this?’ I said, ‘I know it looks like a Barbie but it is actually a U.K. driving license.’”

“He was like, ‘Ha, funny.’ Then he literally threw it back in the car and said, ‘Slow down.’”The Golden Globe nominee is convinced he let her go with a warning because he was “so intrigued by the card.”

Blunt isn’t the only A-lister to have been excused for a traffic offense in the last year.

According to TMZ , “Up in the Air” star George Clooney was stopped by two Italian policemen while riding his Vespa around his Lake Como home in June 2009.

It appeared that the cops were more taken with getting Clooney’s autograph and posing for pictures with him than issuing a ticket.

As ContactMusic.com reports, “Charlie’s Angels” beauty Cameron Diaz once charmed her way out of a fine for speeding in her brand-new Porsche while on a road trip in Southern California.

Diaz claimed it was a flash of her pearly whites that helped her to convince the cops she didn’t know how fast she was going. “I said ‘Oh really? Oh, it’s a brand-new Porsche. I didn’t realize I was going that fast. Really?’”
