Actress Emily Blunt says she does everything in her power to stay away from the limelight.

Emily Blunt says she will do whatever it takes to avoid being famous.

Actress Emily Blunt says she goes out of her way to stay out of the limelight and avoid being photographed outside of work commitments.

She told OK! Magazine: “It’s all about the choices you make – don’t go where you know people are going to take your picture, go find a dive bar. You have to develop a thick skin when you’re a young woman in the public eye because people are going to trash you.

“That’s the best part of it, you have no control over it so you’ve got to relinquish that and let it go. I do have control over how much I put myself out there. For me, it’s only an awareness, no more than that.”

And the 26-year-old says she makes sure she tries to avoid worrying about what other people think of her.

She added: “It’s a really magical job, the side effects that come with that can be good or bad. A lot of people like to see you fall from grace so I’m aware of that.

“I try not to buy into too much of what people think, as long as I’m lucky enough to keep getting the parts that I play and the variety – that’s what I strive for. “
