Guess who’s the latest Hollywood starlet with a bun in the oven? Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski are set to welcome a tiny bundle of joy in just a few months’ time, a rep for the actress confirms to Us Weekly.
The couple, who tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Italy in 2010, have never been shy about their desire for children, and have been making moves to ready themselves for parenthood, a source tells Us.
“They both want kids, it’s one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighborhood that you can raise a family,” the source explained. “They both couldn’t be more excited.”
In an interview with Manhattan magazine last year, the 30-year-old British actress opened up about their hope to start a family.
“We want to have children; I just don’t know when yet,” the Devil Wears Prada star told the magazine. “I’m just not sure about the timing of all of that. We’re both from big families, so I think it’s something we want.”
A few months later, Krasinski, 33, told Matt Lauer on the Today show that he has been getting a taste of fatherhood from his pals who are already dads, like Matt Damon, with whom he was working at the time on the film Promised Land.
“We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done,” the former Office star said at the time.

Emily Blunt was reportedly rejected by UNICEF after it decided she wasn’t famous enough to become one of their celebrity ambassadors.
The Devil Wears Prada actress was courted by the London office of the United Nations Children’s Fund but they are said to have withdrawn their request to work with her after executives in New York vetoed the appointment.
A source told MailOnline: “UNICEF was keen to court Emily and made contact with her.
“She’s a big name in British cinema, glamorous, and very much on the rise after winning some big accolades, so she seemed to be a perfect addition.
“It’s a big deal to be asked, and Emily’s people were keen to get her involved. But all of the celebrities in the list have to be signed off in New York and some of the senior management didn’t feel she was enough of a star, so they’ve gone cold on her.
“It is very disappointing for Emily and quite embarrassing for her. More than anything, she has supported UNICEF in the past and would have loved to do more to help what she believes is a fantastic charity.”
A spokeswoman for UNICEF confirmed they had been in discussions with Emily but insisted she had not been rejected.
She said: “UNICEF would love to work with Emily Blunt and hopes that there will be opportunities in the future.”

30-year-old actress Emily Blunt has revealed her delight at having the chance to work Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep for the second time.
Blunt is the latest star to join the cast of movie musical, Into the Woods, playing The Baker’s Wife opposite Streep as The Witch.
Speaking to Vulture.com Blunt said: “I can’t believe I’m playing in two movies with Meryl where she’s playing someone who’s horrible to me. I’m so excited.”
When asked if she is able to sing, Blunt replied: “I hope people will not give me a hard time about it when the film comes out. I’m not the greatest singer in the room by any means, but I’ll have fun trying.”
Into The Woods, which begins filming in London this autumn, also features Johnny Depp as The Wolf and British comedian James Corden as The Baker.
Emily Blunt is up for the lead in Transcendence, a new sci-fi movie starring Johnny Depp.
The movie will by the directorial debut for Wally Pfister, longtime collaborator of Christopher Nolan, and it’s already got some star power behind it. In October it was announced that Johnny Depp signed up for the movie, playing a scientist whose brain is uploaded to a supercomputer after his death.
Emily Blunt is said to be one of the three actresses in contention for the scientist who actually uploads Depp’s brain, who is also his wife, Deadline reported.
Blunt’s competition for the role comes from Rooney Mara, star of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Rebecca Hall, who will is set to appear in the upcoming Iron Man 3, NME reported. Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister is gearing up to make his directorial debut, and casting is firming up on sci-fi tale“Transcendence”, already starring Johnny Depp. Deadline reports the search for the female lead is narrowing and may be decided by this Friday.
The final three are Rooney Mara, Emily Bluntand Rebecca Hall, though Deadline warns Blunt could have scheduling conflicts with currently filming Tom Cruise actioner “All You Need is Kill.” Filming is set to begin on March 4th and the chosen actress will play a scientist named Evelyn, who is married to and uploads Depp’s character Will’s brain onto a supercomputer after his death. Casting is also underway for Max, a male friend of the couple, who helps Evelyn in protecting Will’s new form. Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are executive producing for their longtime collaborator Pfister, while the screenplay came from newcomer Jack Paglen.
All three actresses seem way too young to play Depp’s wife, though Hall seems like the best fit to play a scientist to us. She is, however, already playing one in “Iron Man 3″ and could be in danger of being typecast if she plays both these characters back to back. Mara, too, has tread upon seemingly similar territory, recently wrapping up filming on Spike Jonze’s “Her”, which sees Joaquin Phoenix as a man in love with a computer. Blunt is also familiar with sci-fi, most recently having appeared in Rian Johnson’s exceptional time travel thriller “Looper.”
