A host of actresses are to be considered for ‘The Thin Man’. Meetings to cast Johnny Depp’s co-star in the movie remake will begin next week, with eight actresses in the running according to Deadline.
Eva Green, Amy Adams, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Rachel Weisz, Kristen Wiig, Emily Blunt and Isla Fisher are all said to be interested in the role of Nora Charles.
Depp will play the role of husband Nick Charles in the story based on Dashiell Hammett’s 1934 novel about the sleuthing pair set against the backdrop of Prohibition-era New York. The single volume original spawned a six-part film series beginning in 1934, followed by a 1950s television show. Depp will next appear alongside Green in ‘Dark Shadows’. daily times monitor.
