Will Catwoman be cinematically resurrected from the fanboy ashes? The latest comic to Catwoman rumor has Emily Blunt up for the new feline super hero role, which looks to be all talk and no cat action. Although the Catwoman story is a only a rumor, Batword has it that Emily Blunt turned down a role in Captain America for a shot at playing Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in Batman 3.
According to Batman on Film.com, which also keeps the Catwoman rumor at arm’s length, an e-mail to the outlet from a Hollywood insider suggests the reason Emily Blunt turned down the Captain America role is because Blunt was eyeing the Catwoman role in the upcoming Batman 3.It’s still too early to know whether the Emily Blunt as Catwoman story is legit, but rumor has it that Blunt was allegedly up for the part of Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight.
The bigger question is: Can Christopher Nolan restore good faith in Catwoman after the 2004 version of Catwoman.
